Guys do not lost time with small tripath ,I have amp32,amp11 and now the truepath from 41hz ,no story no game......

the amp32 is a toy with thin sound, the amp11 is perfect for money, power, sound , but the truepath (same belcanto evo2)sound wonderfull!!!!!

my experience but hope this helps...........

PS I use bypass 0,47 mundurf silver/oil at input

I dont have amp11 at my home now....no a/b test, but I remember my music.....no story

I dont know if amp10 are superior to amp11 ..... thomaselliot have two amp10 in bridge mode and truepath ,and again no story

PS amp11 have smtp meanwell psu

I remember Thomaseliot's first response after finishing Truepath. He wondered if he would ever use the AMP10 again...

TA3020 has been used in several commercial designs that have been reviewed as being amongst the best of the best amps in the world...

I own two Truepath amps and have never heard better yet...

AMP32 is amazing for portable designs and blows any amplifier in it's size completely away, but horses for courses....

AMP10 is nice, much better than many midclass amps.

Truepath is really hard to beat, any commercial design that comes close will cost several times more money. But you need to be confident about your skills, experience with building amps is really necessary...

But as I always say:"most of the times you're too scared..."
😀

If your looking for the Tripath TA3020, look at the Motorola DCP-501 HT receiver - it has 5 channels of the TA3020 and can be had for less than $100 shipped on ebay.

The Moto Unit has a crappy preamp/DAC section, a DVD player, Tuner, that you SHOULD just toss. Just remove and rehouse the 5 channel Amp board. The amp board are clamped onto a large heatsink... and has a power supply board with a 500VA toroidal tranny. Real cheap stuff for modders/tinkers.

I have two of these units (10 channels of TA3020), and haven't had the time to rehouse/mod the units since building my UCD400s...they are just sitting in my closet...maybe next week...

HI

Is not only the chip that made difference ,the 41hz pbc board are 4 layer ottimized separate ground, with 66k-1Mhz swicthing mosfet this made the difference, separate supply for imput stage, component on board are good quality(panasonic) ,smd resistor are 0,5% ,toroid have litz wire....the sinergy are very important

the same for the tree PSU board

HI tom ,post an 41hz forum ,there is a section....

So is it the best of the 41hz.com solutions in terms of sound quality?
Is it even better than the 2024 chip? The latter can really sing with the right speakers...

Yep, it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the tiny 2024, you simply won't believe...

Jaw dropper!

Stop reminding me, I still have to finish building something out of the DCP-501 I bought from you way back. It fits nicely into a 2U chassis. I may have to shield the transformer being so close to the amp, but we shall see. Only modifications I have planned is to replace the coupling caps, and double the power supply capacitance. I'll be soldering the output terminals directly to the pins of the relays, to avoid the long PCB traces. I wouldn't call the transformer 500VA though. It is smaller and wound with thinner wire than my 400VA Plitron.

In progress...
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

To keep this slightly on topic, I don't think the DCP-501 and the Truepath can be considered equal simply because they use the same driver IC. The Truepath is clearly a very well thought out design, and I don't doubt that it will make a spectacular amp, especially for the price.
