Check your part number: 2SC2682 -TO-126- is made by NEC with Q, P grades, no Y.

You are right, from nec is -p, but C2682 or KSC2682 IS -Y

I`m pretty sure I have some of these in my Norwegian abode. I shall find out in a few days. I used this one and 2SA1142 in loads in amps I made during the eighties. Sadly I didn`t stock up.

I also used thousends of the 2SA1227 / 2SC2987. NEC made wonderful transistors. I`m glad to have lived in that era.

Makes me sad that I didn't start learning, really learning, electronics until the early 2000s.
We sure have lost a metric buttload of great parts in the last five or so years.
