I've been trying to build an amp for my bass. Its a toroidal transformer --> rectifier --> amp board. It starts up and plays for about a second and then shuts of, Im guessing this is a because of a short in the transformer but this is my first time playing around with amp components so I really dont know.
So do u think the toroid is the problem? and if so is there any test to confirm? Im allready over budget by alot so I dont want to buy another if Im not certain.
