This DAC has features that I was looking for - Excellent review and measurements at ASR, LDAC codec, volume control with remote, selection of inputs, no headphone amp, etc..

Hello, i'm really interested by this DAC so can you please provide your listening experience. Thanks.
Its a low-ish cost dual AK4493 dac. Not too bad, good for the money maybe. Wouldn't expect it to compete on SQ with something like Mola Mola Tambaqui though.

The RD3 is attractive for use as a Preamp/Streamer/DAC. It has a remote control for volume and digital input selection, power on/off etc..
In volume mode sampling frequency is bypassed and volume level is displayed and has very fine volume adjustments and operates smoothly..
The volume control can be bypassed for DAC direct mode and sampling frequency is displayed..
Comparing a few dacs, I would say RD3 is a little soft on top.
My energy goes into speaker design and room acoustics - Any good dac and power amp is more than suitable. Later I will compare dacs in more detail.
I purchased the RD3 for the features and functionality.
