Top side through hole soldering

I have 2 Roland JX-10 synthesizers from the 80s. I have made on good of the two and then fixed the other boards. I am left with a JX-10 with a missing, obsolete wire harness. I asked the best synth technician I know, " What would you do?" He said " I'd hardwire it". There are about 8 PCBs. It would be very difficult to solder from the back and reinstall. He suggested soldering from the top. I trust his opinion but he did not have time to explain or give me any tips. Following Shrouded pin receptacle removal, I will have about 200 wires to solder in groups of 4, 6, 10 and 12. Holes are 2.4mm apart. Traces and solder pads will be facing away from me. I am in need of suggestions, advice and tips prior to attempting this project.
Thanks

60cm? That borders on the absurd. How about a photo of what you're dealing with. I'm not sure, so just imagining a motherboard power-entry kind of connector. But that isn't shrouded pins. Or... a berg connector, which is more like a disk drive connector or board-to-board connector.

A 76 note keyboard/ Synthesizer
Power supply is on the far right and it has 6 PCBs as well as key sensor connectors.
I decided last night instead of going crazy with wires and solder to use my head a little. After about 4 hours looking for the said "Obsolete" Connectors, I found them. Not obsolete at all! Molex 050375xx3. X being position count. I have about 40 connectors coming as well as 350 crimp contacts. There are 261 contacts in total. I ordered the extra 89 because I have never crimped this type of connector and will probably ruin a few. I don't have a crimper and am hoping I can solder them.
