With the greatly heightened interest in experimenting with motional feedback (which is limited pretty much to bass drivers), a thread about tools and kits seems needed. The core interest resides among speaker bashers, but the tools are hybrid with electronics. So folks on this forum need a hand with development tools and kits.
So let's have a thread about what features people would like to see and about what gear is already available.
Right now, the "EVE" board from Holland is trending. But it has quite a number of challenges for DIYers.
1. Needs tiny fingers to handle surface mount components.
2. Needs bits to be soldered in place rather than provide pots for continuous adjustment.
3. Could be expanded to work with current feedback designs.
4. Needs a polarity reversal switch
There's also an accelerometer test device. But I've lost track of it. Anybody know?
Using current or bridge sensors is simple. But what are the best accelerometers today? Hum problems? Balanced leads?
B.

Don't waste your time. The Eve is in essence still the basic Philips setup.
