Too hot to handle

My Zen V4 is finally finished and working fine. But the temp of the heatsinks was a concern. I purchased a cheap VOM that does temp and inductance to check.
The temp is running at 53 - 55 C after an hour. This is measured at a distance from any of the TO-247's. I never would have guessed that 53C would be so hot to touch. I thought that it was more like 70 - 75 C from how hot it felt.
My plan is either to mount a ceiling fan above the amp or to install a small 2 3/4 115v Glode fans I found.
If my temp is a stable 55C with fairly even distribution how much will this hurt the chips?
I think a ceiling fan will bring it under 50C, the AC cycling on and off was causing the swing from 53 to 55 this morning. And for my northern climate friends, in Houston the AC runs 11 months a year.
My connection is acting up, but hope to upload some shots of this wood boxed beauty. Soundwise it is opening up, but only has a couple of hours run in on it now. With the concern on temp I never left in running without direct supervision.
