hey-Hey!!!,
What is considered the best of the Bach Toccata and Fugue digital recordings? Not perhaps recorded in digital, but available in DVD-A or SACD or maybe just excellent redbook CD?
I am upgrading the LF section of the stereo and want to try this one on, not to mention liking the music in the first place...🙂
cheers,
Douglas

Many "Toccata and Fugue"
There are many different Bach "Toccata and Fugue". I assume you're looking for "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor"?. There are even more than one of these.
Try this one: E. Power Biggs / Bach: The Four Great Toccatas and Fugues - The Four Antiphonal Organs of the Cathedral of Freiburg. Note: This is SACD only, not a hybrid.
He plays four antiphonal organs simultaneously. This will really test the low end of your system.
Get it from www.acousticsounds.com or Amazon.com
Or this one: Bach: Toccata & Fugue in D minor; Prelude & Fugue in B minor; Concerto No. 2 in A minor; Prelude & Fugue in D major by Michael Murray on Telarc.
