TL stuffing

I made a TL using some 8" driver, and now I want to play with stuffing levels, problem is that it'll be hard to remove or add any stuffig in there.

How bad is it that some parts of the TL will have a bit more stuffing than others?

I'll try to make the TL look longer, to see how that affects the low freqs roll off.

But from what I heard t'ill now, I've never suspected this kind of clear bass could exist.

If you put the stuffing in an open weave bag or pair of tights then you can just add and remove as much as you want, then put it in in one go.😉

Yeah, if you get the curves right, the TL has the best bass of anything, unloading the driver makes so much difference to the sound!

I use cheese cloth for making "sausages" filled with stuffing. You can buy cheese cloth at any fabric store. Just cut the length required, open the layers, spread the stuffing evenly (does not have to be perfect), roll the cheese cloth around the stuffing, and tie the ends with string. This bundle will slide in and out of the enclosure and can be re-opened to add or remove stuffing while fussing with the speaker to get the best response. I don't think that stuffing has to be exactly uniform and I am sure my speakers contain regions with slightly higher and lower stuffing density then prescribed by the MathCad worksheets.
