Ok, this is just a general overview of my experience before you get supplies from Home Depot or Lowes.

in my experience which is in Tallahassee FL.............

Lowes does not carry 1/2" MDF, only 3/4 which is far too heavy.

Home depot does carry 1/2" MDF but i found it only in precut panel section which where 2x4 foot sheets. (very little kept in stock so chances are good that they could be out of it at any time, i took the last of it and the cubby hole for it was very small)

you will not find E39 mogul sockets in either store, you will have to find an electrical contractor supply. (there has to be something locally like that for you) look under electrical suppliers in the phone book.

If you are looking for screen material........
You will not find Do-Able board from either store in the east coast area (doable can be found out west starting in Utah, west as far as i know)

Now someone said that Poly-wall was easy to find, i had no such luck at either store, they never heard of it and i asked 3 people at each store.

Lowes does not have the Lexan XL10 window replacement for blocking UV.

I forgot to ask for it at Home Depot so i'll let you know if the tallahassee store has it.

good luck...

Well at Lowes the white Polywall plastic it is in the section with all the paneling. They sell it in Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola, and Panama City. I think they would have it where you are.

Most employees have no idea what it's called. Just ask for the white plastic that is used as a backsplash for urinals.

Also all the Home Depots have XL10 Lexan in Florida as well.
