Hi,

seems this is reality allready. They have upgraded Millenium with TAS5015 modulator and at the same time acquired exclusive rights to this chip. Here is quote from Tact homepage:

More can be found at Tact homepage. I wonder if exclusive use use of TAS5015 will have any impact on John`s project (if he is not the brain behind this one)?

I'm working on a design based around the TAS5518 at the moment (just two channels, not the full eight) but the whole thing isn't exactly DIY friendly and I'm having a bit of a time trying to produce a PCB that I can make by hand for the chip (I wish I could do PTH). But it will hopefuly turn out well, and I'll make sure to post up here when it's done.

when I last checked TI website some weeks ago, TAS5015 disappeared in a similar manner as DIR1703 receiver, it was nowhere to be seen. While TAS5015 returned, it seems like DIR1703 never existed.

The funny thing is that DIR1703 is very much available as sample!
