I'm trying to design a speaker with high WAF (thread here). My current idea needs a very flat subwoofer driver that works in a small sealed box (about 20l). My plan is to use a AMP15-PS-XP (from 41Hz.com) and the miniDSP.
After som searching I've found two Pioneer drivers that seem to fit somehow, the TS-SW301 and the TS-SW3001. The SW301 is cheaper and has a larger XMAX, so that seems to fit better.

I can get these for about 80 € each with shipping. Are they any good?
Are there any better alternatives for less than 150 € each shipped to Sweden?

20L with a thin driver does not sound like the recipe for bass happiness, even with a huge amp. But I'll comment in your other thread...
Am working on a design that is to placed against the wall, not an easy thing to pull off given the best of circumstances. I wouldn't look for a thin driver but a good smaller driver and use multiples. Some transmission line designs this could fit the bill. But the WAF is not the best. You would be looking at a wide, thin and tall enclosure to make best. Currently mine is on the order of 23"w x 52h x ~9"d where the front baffle is ~7.5" and tapers off out to the edges in an elliptic, rounding off ~2" at the edge to the back. Which if dedicated to a room wall would be better to make flush like a roman Ogee. This applies to the higher frequency ranges surface mount description/illustrations in your other thread.

A couple of ideas:

1) The efficiency of a speaker is tied to it's size. Due to this, a 20 liter sub isn't going to get loud and deep. But you can hide a really big sub behind that couch if you make it extremely thin. A sub that measures 10' wide by 3' tall by 4" deep is 283.2 liters, nearly fifteen times the size of your proposed sub.

Beolab and B&W make some spherical subs that look pretty sharp. They would be a good match for your decor.

Personally, I made a subwoofer that my chair sits on. (I use the same Ikea chair that you're using.) Because the chair sits on the sub, it doesn't dominate the room much. I hid it behind a room divider to improve the look.
It was somewhat inspired by this subwoofer:

The carpeted sub is mine - and documented here:

I believe the last horn was designed by the late great Jean Michael LeCleach and is documented in 'LeCleach on Horns' on this website.
