Not a whole lot but they have went down to the price of a normal Lilliput. The thing I like about this monitor that makes me want it so bad is that it has A/V inputs so you dont need a computer. It has exactly the same resolution as the lilliput only at a lower price. And who cares about the brightness we are just gonna rip the backlight off! I dont really know about disassembly but if you want Lilliput quality with out the hassle of a computer then you should buy this. It is only $249.00 retail compared to the $279.00 Lilliput retail. Plus A/V inputs!! Check it out at their site Xenarc ! I would buy it but I like most people in this cruel world I am broke. Just check it out. Also free T-Shirt!😀 hehe!

heya guys, well the biggest problems i faced after doing research on the xenarc was the fact that the fcc cables had to be exstended from the lcd to the controller. There are 2 fcc cables from the lcd to the controller and one runs right across the back of the lcd, they use a panasonic lcd and thats why i wont touch one, that and the price. Also the xenarc's specs arent as good as the lilliputs vga model.

Thanks ACE

I would've never known about the FF cables unless you came along. But I still do not care about VGA beacause all I want a projector for is movies and tv. Who want all their personal info magnified onto a 100" computer screen. Not me that is why I'd rather have a/v. But thanks to ace for clearing up disassembly for us. Well now we all know not to buy xenarc because of the disassembly problem.:apathic:

First of all......the Lilliput has VGA AND A/V inputs. It is not SOLEY vga. Also....vga has many more upgrad potentials. You can connect many dvd players and hdtv tuners up using vga....also, you can get component video-to-vga converters which allow for great clarity. I would never suggest getting anything without vga. You have no upgrade potential without it. Just get something that has both vga and av. Lilliput does.

I would never suggest getting anything without vga.

Same thoughts as me, anything without vga in my eyes is a waste of time, vga coluring is true colouring alone and the clarity is unreal compared to any other format excluding dvi.

The xenarc has a contrast of 150:1 too low for my liking, (especially for the price!), the lilliputs is 200:1, 200:1 is on the border line for me and id call that level of contrast an entry level, as with 640x480 reso being an entry level.
