THAM15 > Need some help with correct Controller Setups/Settings

Hello all,

first of all sorry for my bad english.

I hope to get some help with my controller settings on my two THAM15 Subwoofers (Built with BMS 15s430v2)

1. What are your experience with the controller setups?

So far i got some different opinions:

b) Tony Wilkes (RIP) told something about delay to mids
Delay mids around 5ms, from memory I used a parametric at 38hz +5db 1 oct wide and hi-passed at 35hz 24db/oct. This was for a single, the EQ will want adjusting for 4 units.

so what is your Experience?

2. What freq and Filter do you set on your mid/highs
I have a typical 12"/1" mid High top. Some recommendations?

3. What max Power (RMS) is max in my combo (Tham 15BMs 15s430v2 ) to be save?

I used to have four tham15 with the same driver.

1. I used HPF 38 BW18, LPF 125 LR24. Crossed over to turbosound TMS-1. Crossing at 125 sounded best and gave most kick. I believe Tony crossed at 140.

2. Test which sound the best. You should time align mid tops.
Not sure about your PEQ settings. Octave wide sounds strange as assisted alignment.

3. Without HPF the voice coil will hit the magnet with a bang quite easily. With HPF 38 BW18 I have used crest ca12 and SAE pxm1450 to power four THAMs. I find that cone execurtion is the limiting factor.
