Test to build a GC need a good schematic

Hi!

I’m going to test to build a chip amp to hear how it’s sounds.
I'm going to use LM3886 or LM3876.
Now I need a really good schematic. There is allot of them but who is really good?
I have looked on the manufactures data sheet and their schematics…
Please can you recommend some?

What do you want to use the chip amp for? What type of speakers will you be driving?

I’m going to use it as a ordinary stereo amplifier, and use ordinary commercial speakers, two elements and between 4 – 8 ohm.

I suggest starting with one of the most basic designs, and then adding 'extras' like a buffer and regulated PSU later. Have a good read of the Decibel Dungeon Gainclone pages, and some of the other sites on the Chip amp web ring! 😉

Use the LM3886 according to the datasheet for LM4780. Either page 7, figure 5 or page 21, figure 7. Figure 5 is more refined and a complete amplifier, while figure 7 is a dedicated power amplifier that would be combined with a preamplifier.
