Tektronix TDS2022 replacement screen?

I might be able to buy a cheap Tektronix TDS2022 with a cracked screen.
Is it possible to replace the screen to get it to work again, or is it a lost cause and only a waste of money?

The scope itself seems to be pretty expensive (in working condition) at eBay and such.

I was afraid that would be the case, but was hoping that it would be possible to use some other type of screen 🙂

The screen is an off-the-shelf STN LCD part that you can buy new from China for <$100. Once you get the unit, you can figure out the OEM part number.
