I have an old Technics SL-Q2 direct drive turntable been sitting for years. I recently bought a new stylus for the turntable and though the cartridge angle to the platter is fixed the vertical angle from side to side isn't fixed. How do I make sure that the stylus is vertically correct. I don't have any kind of gauge to align the stylus. Any pointers here. The cartridge is an Ortofon and there is no head shell to speak of. You can only rotate the cartridge as far as I see. 😱
Sreten,
I have had this turntable for years but it has been sitting. The cartridge is still what was on the turntable I only replaced the stylus itself. Didn't work with no tip on it! I remember when my kids were young and thought they could put a cd on the turntable and that was the last time I used it! Now what do I do?
