I have recently acquired this sound processor, which comes with ubiquitous NJM4580 and NJM2060... I am thinking to replace them with OPA2134 and OPA4134. Would anyone have any experience with those ICs? Can they be directly swapped? From specs OPAs look superior, what would higher slew rate really do for the sound?
I'd clean up the power rails first - even a 'cooking grade' opamp can sound remarkably decent given clean power. Then after that if you still hanker for more you can roll opamps.
