Technics amplifier phonostage film cap opamp ?

Anyway, the new board arrived for my Technics SU-V9, i think something failed in the phono section.

Installed LME49860 soic - dip adapter, electros on the phono are Pano FR and Nichicon PW( image 2 C123/124 47uf25v) near IC. Another thing, there isnt cross talk which was much worse before the new board, which is good
Kept the orignal phono cable this time inside the amp? was thinking of replacing it also ( can see the outer shield has a bit of oxidation, but maybe changing cable would introduce crosstalk.

Currently decouping cap is a Wima FKP, was thinking of using a standard Auricap?

Changed resistors in signal path ( 2 of them yellow on image 2 R 144/143) to Vishay Dale RN65e
Wima cap? or Nichicon ES or Auricap? ( C118/117 red image 2)

Wonder if caps are best kept or removed filter ones C119/120 0.0047uf (gold cross image 2)
thanks Sam

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

That's not much information to work with, you will need to do a little more fault finding, there's a whole bunch of transistors, diodes, switches and a op-amp that could be the problem. Randomly replacing capacitors will just send you off in circles.

Do you have a basic multimeter to take some measurements?

Go bipolar but just to make it work you can use any capacitor with the right value.Use the cheapest op amp for the start, preferably the same 4559 if you can find it.4558 can work too, just use a nonpolarized capacitor at the output as its offset is higher than 4559 if i remember right.Once you make it work you can think of upgrades.

Hello Indiglo,
I have the new used board and the phono is working, but controls need cleaning, i used the Panasonic FR and Nichicon PW, and old Wima 3.3uf caps i had around to test.

Yes i have a multimeter and made sure the 17v was coming to the board

Thanks Dreamth, she is working but controls need cleaning in the box of the new input board. Nice and silent between aux tuner, no noise

🙂 contact spray fixed it, but i will have to sort the cable sometime, phono 2 is 1mv so a bit mixed up.

Working well apart from that😀

Can talk about any upgrades now

OPAMP - i have soic LME49860 but i can still get LME49720 in DIP, or other opamps

currently wima 3.3uf fkp in the biploar spot, was thinking auricap not the xo version but older or even a small janzten crosscap in 3.3uf but maybe not better than the Wima

I have for electrolytes the 2200uf is Pano FR and around DAC 47uf 25v Nichicon PW which I had on me from the old board

* sorry for the tripple post moderators*

Just an update, taken out input board.

R144/143 in signal path of phono signal left and right, changed to Dale RN65E resistors. Also input selector - siganl path for audio R226/225 to Vishay Dale CMF55

LME49720 17+ max, Phono is 17? is that okay, or go to the trouble of soldering up a LME49860?

I went with the LME49860, i managed to solder it onto the aries adapter, better than I did the OPA1642.

First seemed overly bright, but seemed to mellow down, test it more on test speakers incase it will oscillate. Also i think 1mv setting is really there for lower output carts, with the MP110 its louder than the CD source at the same volume level, so 2.5mv settting is best

So far keeping stock internal cables, and sticking with Wima fkp 3.3uf for now, though maybe upgrade to standard auricap, which I can source out here in Australia
