I've got a problem with one of my technics 1210.
I changed the pop-up lamp to an LED, however, I've damaged the circuit in doing so.
the strobe lights dont work, the platter wont spin and when I press 45rpm button it only lights when I hold it down, when I let go 33rpm come on again. the pop up LED and pitch are working fine.
I've replaced Q2 and Q3, I also replaced D1 with not the exact same part but an equivalent (higher voltage) rectifier diode, but this has made no difference.
what else should I change ?

The lamp is directly connected to +B, 20V. You will need a series resistor to connect a LED to it.
I suggest you take the LED out of circuit and check Q1.
Check D2 if present, a 5.1V zener connected to the emitter of Q3 but ommited in newer decks.
/Hugo 🙂

yes I have series resistor connected to LED. the pop-up LED now works fine, but something else is broken.
there is no D2 on my circuit. I have changed Q2 and Q3, then D1, still not working though !
