I bought a Pioneer KEH-P5650 off my sisters boyfriend, we hooked it up to the car, the lights came on, the tape ran etc, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers, i need some technical support, if any one knows what may be wrong, we pulled it too pieces and there is no visible damage to anything, not even a burnt out smell!
Help would be greatly appreciated!

i mite not be any help but what car are u installing it into?.. also check that you have properly connected your antnena wires.. and so forth.. and then check any fuses that may have blown in the process of the installation
Yeah, i've also heard hte pioneer units had chip problems, and the car thing, (Honda civic by the way) regradless, we tested in and out of a car, with different wiring setups, its got me beat what the hell is wrong with it.

this is not for the unit you were asking about but if you chase it from here you might find out a little about the one you have.

Nope.
What "chip" problems? Huh, I worked for Pioneer Warranty for five years and never saw a "problem" you are referring to.
However, the most common problem is a shorted DTC transistor in the remote turn on control circuit. This blows because the remote lead (blue/blue-white) was shorted to the car chassis. Any competent repair tech that is familiar with Pioneer can fix this.
