TDL RTL-2 - midbass driver search

Resurrect an old thread 🙂

Bought some TDL RTL2's many years ago and did a swap with my brother-in-law 10 years plus ago.
While he had them, one of the speakers stopped working so they went into the loft.

I now have them back, and was hoping it was the crossover that was damaged, but it looks to be the driver.

Any idea where I could get a replacement from??

On the unit it says "172NS05" and under that "4093"

Thanks

It's an Elac polypropylene 6.5" drive unit. Falcon Acoustics provide this data sheet I extract. I'd try and find something similar in a modern equivalent. SEAS or Vifa might do something.

OK - bought a single RTL3 speaker with a very poorly cabinet for £40 and used the 2 drivers out of these in the RTL2's.

They work and sound pretty good.
Plan is, next year to create new cabinets as the RTL2 cabinets are very tatty.

Thanks all.
