Hi All,
Thinking about building a zero-oversampling CS8412/TDA1543 DAC. What would be a better choice for the transport : A DVD player or a good CD player (such as an old Rotel 955)?
Thanks.

I have the TNT-convertus 8412 /tda1543 0-oversampling DAC and it works better from my Pioneer Stable platter CD-player than from my Pioneer DVD-player. So I would say CD-player 🙂.
Hi
The DAC sound is still affected by the drive quality. Use a proper clock circuit in your CDP, avoid DVD thingies and use reclocking at the SPDIF output
