TDA 2030A Amp Needs Schematic

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to resurrect a Crate TG10R Solid State Practice Guitar Amp. This amp uses the TDA 2030A Chip for output and the JRC4558D for input and driver. I've ordered more of these chips through Mouser and Small Bear along with some sockets so I can play around with other chip combos.

But before I play need to get a schematic, does anyone have one?

Thanks Lineup and Digits for chiming in. I already have the data sheet for the tda2030a, however I do not have the schematic for The Crate TG10R, which should hold much more useful content for me than the data sheet. If anyone has the Schematic for The Crate TG10R it would help a lot.

Phrog, the amplifier you have will be straight forwards to trouble shoot...what is the faults?
such as popped fuse... brunt o/p ic..poor sound..

you can remove the o/p tda2030 and re power up..there should be +/- dc on the op-amp at pins 4 = 15-dc and pin 8 = 15+dc.. test all voltage's from the power supply..

All so check your speaker as some times the poor thing get's fried due to the ic o/p amp burning it. I would say the op-amp would be fine in this case and move to replace the o/p ic..you can beef up the heat sinking for your amp as these unit's have small heat plate's..
Once you have fitted a new power ic, power it up with out it's speaker connected and test the out end..there should be low dc there.
