Hi guys! i have built a sub cabinet with one of these installed. I am using a plate amp to power it. When I construted the box, I built it to winisd specs for a .75 sealed unit. The problem I have is that although the woofer is at full xmax almost, it is almost as if you cant hear it at all. It gets muddy and just does not have good output. Any suggestions?

I have the same woofers matched with 8" drones, powered with plate amps and it's just fine for what I ask of them. I have two in a 100 sq ft room.
Keep in mind, it's a very small cone for the frame size and a very inefficient woofer overall. They work great for a set of bedroom speakers as I have it but it's a real stretch to think this could be a woofer for your main system.
All I can suggest is to stick it in a corner.

well let me be more clear. They are made into my main speaker cabs. I have two. One in each cab with its own amp. Should I even try to port it. On winisd it says I need a 63 inch port. I was thinking 1 port 2X8, Could the box be too big at .75? I am going to post some pics tonight.

what TS parameters did you use to model the driver ?
.75 cuft looks too large for sealed to me.
Also too big for Vas = 14.4L, Qt = 0.29.
Seems you to need to reflex them.

I used the parameters that were already in the program. I agree it needs to be ported, but the port would end up being so long. Would someone mind trying to calculate a box for me?. The inside measurements are: 6.5 inces wide X 8 inches deep X 26 inches tall. Any suggestions?

with that much cabinet length, bottom port it and use some ABS elbows to make it snake around the cabinet a bit, then if you still need to deduct any more airspace after factoring in all that new port volume, put sandbags in the bottom! reduces your airspace, increases stability and floor coupling!
