I know this is probably not the right forum however does anyone know how to remove the knobs in the thing? I don't understand if I can try and pull them out. I wouldn't want to damage them. Any clue?
They're an interference fit (or maybe just glued) on those - you'll most likely not get them back on - if you can get them off.
Has it got a bad pot?
If that's the case I'd be inclined to do a rehouse, replace all the pots (ditching those fiddly concentric pots), the jacks, and the switch while I was in there, and put it in a cast alloy box.
And if you are going to that trouble - I'd maybe just start from scratch... Guv'nor
GGG is a bit pricey, but not bad, and everythign is pretty well documented.
