Just wanted to drop this news article here because I think it might be of interest. They claim that they have created the first real filterless chip with a power of 20W per channel.

There are lot of filterless ICs, all incorporating BD modulation. See TI's catalog, you will find them. Filterless design can only be used for low powers, and situations where there is no long speaker cable.
There is no details about operation, more info would be needed.
