Not sure if I missed something on my search but I've got a SILVERTONE 1473 I want to replace the recommended 5V3GT with a 5V4GT more wattage, less sag, more clean headroom, more level. Whats the best way to swap out and does anyone have any good mod ideas for this amp? My uncle bought it brand new off the floor at Sears in Queens NY.

It should be OK. The PRV and filament current and voltage is the same. The main difference is that the Isurge ratings are different (440mA; 5Y3 400mA; 5Y4). That might make a difference if the 5Y3 was pushed to the max.

The other difference is the pin-out.
