Hey guys, so some of you saw pics of my recently finished pair of xoc1 th18.
I would very much like to add a switch to my speakon jackplate, to allow me to switch between 1+/1- and 2+/2- as far as what powers the sub, allowing the unused chanel to be passed out in parralel to a hi frequency cab.
very much like what the jbl srx 728 has (minus the 'discrete" powering option).
I'm considering just buying the srx jackplate and replacing my current jackplate. however, I would much rather just find the appropriate switch that will let me wire my jack up like theirs does (minus pcb).
Here's the jbl jackplate

i believe that should do it, i'm just wondering where to find one that can handle the 40 amp peaks I'll be throwing at it.... in a robust shell (like the jbl one).

I wouldn't worry about peak current so much as average current. Then again, I also wouldn't worry too much about exact ratings in general because they are meant more for not being damaged while switching active loads.
Presumably you won't need to flip the switch under full power very often, if ever. Just grab something that looks decently beefy.
