Hey guys,
I bought a Sure 2x100 amp board. I knew it would be a lottery as to which version I got and I ended up with the STA508 version. I was expecting the TK2050, but no luck. Either way, it does it's job just fine. I am using it in a portable Bose 141 speaker build.
I have it inside the enclosure and I can hear the fan a little... which bugs me. I unplugged the fan and played some music, periodically checking for heat, and nothing. I am running it with (at present) a 19v laptop supply. I ordered a 24v supply for it though so I can finish the build.
My question is this... does anyone have one of these (or similar) boards that are equipped with fans? If so, has anyone disconnected the fan with no consequence?
Thanks

If you want to run it on 24v or more then I suggest you to replace the stock fan with a better quality, low noise fan or get a good copper, passive heatsink .
