Sunvalley SV-S1645 - 45 Tube Amp - Available NOW

Feedback from KC from Bay Area
Hi Victor
I just wanted to give you an update on the Sun Valley S1645D
I love this amp !!!
When I first powered it up two months ago I knew there was something special But I knew I had to sort some issues with my preamp cables and speakers and source
I’ve got things sorted and have now got some hours on the Sun Valley And I think it needed a little break in time and now with about 80 hours sounds wonderful
It just kept getting better with Time
I have an Elekit modified 300 B and I prefer the Sun Valley 45 Amazing in midrange solid LF and smooth non-fatiguing HF
I’ll be out of town for another week when I get back I’ll leave some feedback on DIY
Feel free to post this on DIY
Thank you for making this happen ! Thanks Victor

Looking at the RCA tube datasheets for the 46 and 47 tubes there are similarities (same UX5 socket, Vfilament, Ifilament, max V ratings) however there are some key differences. The datasheet for the 46 has plate resistance of the 46 tube strapped for Class A operation as 2380 ohms and amplification factor as 5.6. The 47 on the other hand has a plate resistance of 60,000 ohms and an amplification factor of 150. Internal construction of the two tubes differs as well. Additionally, operation of the 47 with a grid or grids tied to the plate is not specified.

Thanks

Long time tube guy, (not a DIYer though) that wandered over here
after purchasing an EleKit 8550 second hand.
Can't say enough about Victor's, as others have noted here.
And yes, the 1645 is a gem. If your speakers are up for it, you
need a 45 amp and Victor's the Guy you want to buy it from.
Thanks again Victor......
