Hi!
After a some years of abstinence I´m considering about starting a new tube amp project and am open to all affordable kinds of valves.
Formely I´ve built one se amp with the EL509 and two monos with the 6c33c. Before this, I began with a Hagtech Cornet 1 as my first diy object.
At that time the Cornet was desribed as a best buy in several forums and I´ve been quite happy with it.
Does anyone know, if there´s an affordable mono bloc kit out there that beats it´s comepetatives?
PP is preferred, but se would be interesting too.
Best regards,
Rents

It really depending on what kind of music you listen to. SE is great for vocals and chamber music. PP is great for rock and rolls and classical.
After few years experimenting on SE tube amps, I finally decided to build a PP amp to explore the classical music.
