Suggestions for a simple Amp

I would like a simple amp Design to practice with prefrebaly one that can be ran off of batterys(and i mean reasonable no's of batterys I.E. no more than 12volts) or a mains adaptor any designs would be appreciated.

I have build IGC , batt (+/-)12 V with as little as 1 chip, 2 resistors and 1 cap, 2 batteries.Works better than you would think.
Feedback loop 250K/10K, cap is a 1uf between the power pins.Wire from pin 7 goes to signal ground.However you cant have any DC coming from the source.And without a ref. resistor to ground you have to have the source hooked up.
Simple and it works.

Try TDA 205x series simpler to use and low components.
