Suggestion for re-wiring Wilson Watt Puppies

Folks,

I am revamping my Wilson Watt Puppy 5.1 speakers and after replacing the velcro/foam on the front of the speaker, I am having the woofers re-foamed.

While this is all open, I was thinking about replacing the wires inside and the rear connectors for better ones that I already have. Now, for the wires, what would you use as I have little experience in that domain?

Thanks
Yves

The gains, if any, would be slight.
It would however, lower the re-sale price if they have been modified.

I am only thinking about re-wiring the Puppy(es), the woofers boxes. The Watt will remain untouched.

I have no intention to resell them and thus do not care about keeping them pristine and original. I am also changing the suspension of the woofers, otherwise they would no longer function correctly.

Thus, it will be quite a few things which will not be exactly as they were when they left the factory 15 years ago.

Whatever makes you happy, if the wire in question is the same or a bit larger gauge then it can't do any harm, then again if the wire already in the speaker isn't damaged or too small a gauge, the benefits are purely your peace of mind. I second the suggestion of using the money on acoustic room treatments if necessary.
