Subwoofer Low Pass Filter

If you are using an AVR for HT then you do not need a filter for the sub. For LFE channel set xo and volume in the Receiver and if there is not enough attenuation in the Receiver you just need a volume control with a buffer.

Hello vex,

I have enjoyed good results using this 4th order crossover. You can adjust the overlap between the LPF and HPF because it is a state variable circuit.

For your application, you could simply use the LPF section.

Hope this helps,

David
