I have 2 EAW LC-1533 15" woofers that i need to build enclosure for. I couldn't find the specs any where. Currently i'm using a pair of cerwin vega LE-36PE 18" folded horn. I like to run the EAW with the CV in large venue, and EAW by itself in small venue. What is the best design? Port or seal box? How big?
Those speakers might have been made by Eminence for EAW. See if there's an Eminence driver that resembles them.
Ported, unless you only need them for midbass. Best bet would be to copy the enclosure that EAW used them in (internal volume, port dimensions). Otherwise, you really need to measure the TS parameters. Published specs are often wrong.
Maybe a tapped horn, if the parameters are suitable.
