Hi guys,
I'm really new in caraudio, y problem is similar to what trailsnail85 posted. I got a 10" cerwin vega DVC, 250rms.
I just want a quality stereo, and my question is what sort of amp should I get, without affecting the car performance(golf 2.0L), as far as i know, 2 ohm will draw a lot of current.

The rest of my speakers run by the HU, so I don't want to end up having a heavy bass system.
What should I do, should I just exchange for a SVC 4 ohm??? 😕

in many cars anything up to 1kw is perfectly fine on the cars electrical system.

I would suggest a 250watt amplifier rated at 2 ohm

The amplifier you buy must be able to cope with the low ohm requirement.

eg: 250watt amplifier at 4ohm will kill itself or go into protection if it tries to power your 2ohm sub.

Note that for safety(and low power) you can wire the voice coils in series.
