Has anyone tried stripping down a projection panel and making a custom case, the actual lcd is quite small its the casing that makes it big, perhaps make your own plexi glass casing.
I've been considering this for a while. I figure that an LCD from a projection panel would be small enough to fit into a nice compact enclosure, and they probably already have all the mounting hardware attatched. Maybe I'll strip down my Spectra tomorrow and take a look.
Yes the reason I was thinking this was because the buttons on my Sharp QA 1650 are in a bad location so when I build my new design stripping down the outor part would save a lot of space, basically like take a 16" monitor and changing it to a 8-10" and this would make your projectors smaller.
hi every one..ive just dug this post out its the only one i could find..anyways i support this idea aswell because simply having a projection panel is quite big but the lcd isnt it self..
I have a sharp qa-1150 so has any one have any info PLEASE!😕 😕 😕

You could always try the LCD forum, there is a tone of stuff over there, either that or use the search function. This thread is 2 years old btw lol.
