Stereo vs. Monoblock

Thinking Walsh Ohm speakers...

I intend to buy the Walsh Ohm 2000 speakers which are 6 ohms nominal so I want to build monoblocks for each speaker. An M2 monoblock should provide in excess of 80 watts at 4 ohms for the single ended Walsh Ohm speakers?

I almost built two AJs to make a monoblocks but nixed that thought as I wanted to maximize my builds. I instead built an AJ and M2 and figured if I ever needed more power I could build a mono BA-3 and tailor the P2 to my liking or add more output stages for those speakers that have nasty impedance drops. I have all the parts to build one, just don't think I will any time soon as i'm getting away from speakers that are low in efficiency or really bad impedance drops

Speaker efficiency

I already have some Omega speakers that are fantastic so I wanted to try the Walsh Ohms as they are full range and omnidirectional as well as semi-coaxial in nature with the benefit of time delay compensation for the frequency range. Supposed to sound very holographic or 3d.

I actually have Louis building me a pair of RS8 monitors. Just want something simple for the time being before I do something bigger from my own hands. My current speakers are 8 ohm nominal but dip to 5ohm and 86db efficient. I get really good volume BUT while the bass could be a tad lethargic on some tracks it stil overall sounds really good. The M2 plays bass better while the AJ is clean but not deep. I had 3 Classe Ca100 and used two for monoblocks and the bass was on point. I don’t know the impedance drop of those speakers (may be mild) but they seem to like adequate power so I’d definitely look at the BA3 in mono

Any guides on how to wire the BA3 in mono?

Can you just build 2 BA3 amps, and then use each amp to drive the left and right channels. For instance, running a split left input into both the right and left inputs on one amp, tie the positive and negative outputs on the same amp and then drive the left speaker this way?

Build 2 stereo BA3 amps. You could vertically biamp, one channel driving low range of one speaker, one channel driving the high range driver, then do the same with the other side.....

But hold on a minute, why not wire each stereo amp into a mono balanced amp? With BA3 amps wired balanced, you will get in the vicinity of 100 watts class A per balanced mono blocks amp!
