Stereo, Kit speakers, DIY cables, 3D printing - a little bit of everything

Hi fellow DIY audio friends!
I‘m a middle age music and audio system friend from Austria, a country with huge history in music, especially classical.
As such I used to go to many live concerts as a child, play the piano and sing, but time, age and job has left me with listening to music on my stereo system and portable audio solutions.
I am a mechanical engineer by profession, and really like to design, build and experiment.
In audio, my moderate understanding of electronics has only allowed me to experiment with cables, pre-designed electronics and some speaker projects, but I have pretty good ears and learned a lot about influence of all the components, especially when I and my friends built our systems after we got our first jobs.
Since then, time and work has limited my freedom, but I did a little bit of 3D printing, designing a case for my portable CHORD Mojo2Poly DAC/Streamer, and a 3D printed design for the Quint Microspeaker desktop kit speaker, which I built in wood/leather and full 3D printed version.

Now I am back to research for a project to build better speakers for my stereo system, which consists of a pretty good Karan Acoustics KA180 MKII Amp and CHORD Hugo2 DAC with 2Go Streamer.

Hoping to get good advice and looking forward to engaging with you guys and gals!

Cheers, George
