hello, I have a steg 4.02 amplifier installed in my car, the protect led red and green are flashing, in the manual I found that it is a warning for a ground error, I checked all the connectors, everything is ok. reading on the forum, I found that the others are also members had the same problem, they solved it by installing a 47k 1w resistor between the ground and the central point of the capacitor on the board, is there another solution for this problem to find the exact cause of this failure without installing a resistor, thanks...
central point of the capacitor ??
Which capacitor?
Is this a new problem (amp has been working perfectly until this started) or is this a new install?

center point of the secondary on the power transformer.this new instalatall, now I discovered that if the amplifier is turned on with the rca inputs plugged in, it starts normally without protection,
Some amps require that the RCA shields be grounded (like they are from virtually all head units) to function properly.
R356 is a 6.8k resistor that connects the primary and secondary grounds. Is it within tolerance?

I understand you, but I have another identical amplifier in the installation that works normally without the RCA input
I could not find the r 356 resistor on the board, I tried to find the service manual for this type of amplifier but without success, for this reason I will post pictures of the amplifier if you could help me find that resistor in the pictures...thanks

I don't have a location for that resistor. Unplug the RCAs and measure the resistance between the secondary ground and the primary ground.
If the amp is working perfectly with the RCAs plugged in, it may not be a problem that needs to be resolved.
the amplifier works with the rca plugged in, however, it should not turn on the protection if the rca connectors are disconnected! I have two identical amplifiers, one works normally, the other has this error, definitely one amplifier has a problem, which is probably the beginning of a bigger problem...
Beginning...?
There are a lot of amps that have the primary/secondary resistor burn, It's often due to a speaker wire shorting to ground. Generally, it causes no other problems.
If you have another identical amp, measure the primary to secondary ground resistance.
