hi! today i've got a massive bag full of pcbs, nothing interesting, til i get shocked by two TDA1540P on a really old pcb, after googling find out it was a poor massacred Philips CD350, and i was about to start researching how to feed the digital signal from another CD Player, not necesary S/PDIF, when i noticed several missing components on the PCB, more than 20, the PCB itself has two cracks, one of them easily fixable, the other one is missing a little bit and can't see where some traces go, i think i can save it but does it worth the value? or i build another dach from scratch with those ICS or bin them and stop fooling?
can you be sure they are functional before you waste any time on it? doesnt sound terribly hopeful going on the conditions you describe
Theres nothing to be sure, this old ic were built like tanks, but so the lasers, dunno why it was scraped i can't see any damage beside the missing part and the cracks, the missing parts are capacitor, maybe some diodes, an opamp some transistors, and all the power regulators
The TDA1540P does not accept I2S.
so? i'm planning on feed audio to them by applying the data and clock line from another cd player
