Today i bought [4] Squire 12 inch speakers rated 100w rms each,dual cone full range driver with cloth surround and paper cone.I got them well cheap £5 for 4 Squire drivers at a car boot sale.I've tested them at medium volume and they work fine,but i haven't tested them at high volume or for long periods of time.
Also i thought Squire made guitar speakers,this ain't a guitar speaker because it has a cloth surround instead of corregated paper surround that guitar speakers use.
They are rated at 100w rms, 40hz-10khz,spl 100db 1w at 1m.
Ceramic magnet,vented pole piece.
Could these be suitable for monitor use,used with a piezo horn,or are dual cone 12 inch fullrange drivers better suited to guitar use?
I was thinking maybe the CTS/MOTOROLA KSN1165A Or KSN1141B or KSN1177A which piezo driver would suit the Squire driver in an enclousure.
