Despite living now in Taipei, Taiwan, home to TangBand ("TB Speakers") which designs and offers numerous small drivers, I've found it a challenge to source the very small passive radiators nearly ubiquitous in portable Bluetooth speakers in recent years. I'm aware of the Dayton 3.5" and 2.5" PRs, and another such one from Peerless, but when it comes to the smaller ones that seem quite bespoke to for the Bluetooth portables, I've had little luck searching for a source online for these for years. The Dayton and Peerless are simply the same as the drivers they offer, minus the magnet assembly. They occupy more internal volume with their baskets and spider assembly than the often quite sleek PRs used in portable speakers.
Ideally, something with a flat face or particularly of interest, a convex "inverted cone" in sizes 3.5" down to well below 2.5" is sought. Many of the Bluetooth speakers seem to employ a flat PR, usually round but also in unusual square shapes, and often with an slick alloy or aluminium PR face with rubber surround.
These must be all coming from China, but again, seemingly bespoke for specific Bluetooth speaker models that have very specific parameters that must be met.
Any thoughts/suggestions on sourcing?

I usually just browse aliexpress for things. I've found a decent number in the past.
Attached are an example that I used along with a TB W1-2121S. The particular PR used I bought from ebay over in the UK, but they were also available, at the time at least, on aliexpress.

Ah, excellent. Was it possible to spec them for that TB driver and your enclosure design (using T/S parameters in your software) or was it a gamble, an experiment, to see how well suited they were? There appears to be no such info given, at least not through aliexpress, but perhaps through the manufacturer in some cases.

It was a complete gamble but they are so inexpensive that it doesn't really matter. Having said that, if I was going to be buying in any considerable quantity I would expect to be able to spec them.
Speccing them would probably only work if the person you were buying from was an actual outlet for a shop that designs and builds speakers. Some do, some are just resellers of surplus stock.
