Source for these coupling caps?

These coupling caps, reddish brown chicklet looking ones were recommended in this forum a couple of years ago. I bought a bunch and I quite liked them. However, I cannot find where I bought them nor the post. Anyone help? I know I got them from China. Some .01's, .022's, and .047's.

Have you considered using a normal supplier?

Don't buy standard components from e-bay, China, AliBaba, or AliExpress. You don't know what you're getting
I see no problem with Chinese capacitors and other components, they are manufactured in hundreds of millions, if not billions in China anyway. What is the difference between CBB caps from Panasonic, Cornell Dubilier, and let's say Shenzhen Zhenbangwei Technology? Technically speaking, none at all. Its quite possible that last mentioned Chinese company makes these, and may be a handful of other brands.

I find lots of problems.

  • Inferior quality.
  • Counterfeiting.
  • Non-enforceable contracts and warranties.
We buy a lot of stuff from China, from electronic/mechanical components to industrial machinery, sometimes measured by container qty. I can't say I'm was impressed by the quality of whatever, yet (in some degree) it was in a pair with an affordable price. IMHO I don't think anyone is going to counterfeit anything made for example by Shenzhen Zhenbangwei Technology or DongGuan WeiQing Electronics. Going back to subject, I had no problems with film and silver mica capacitors from China.

Nichicon QXP and Panasonic ECW are my go-to caps in that style.

Manufactured by well known companies with established quality metrics, regardless of country of origin. Readily and inexpensively available from reputable suppliers, ie Mouser and Digikey.
