Hey folks, I have a LE DaVinci I got on trade and I just finally got some time to take it apart and start on it the other day. One of the power supplies are blown, I didn't get much father then pulling the blown fets and finding that the amp will now power up. I'm am anticipating that there are probably shorted outputs as well, but that's not what brought me here with questions.
I've worked on quite a few SS amps, as well as more than a few of their LE's, but this one has a few additions that I have a hard time believing are stock. In the pics you will see some bodge wires as well as a transistor with heat sink siliconed to the top of the board. The other odd thing is the vertical inductor at the back actually had to be de-soldered to remove mounting screws. This is a revision "A" amp, so maybe these are last minute revisions, but it seems pretty hacky for SS. I think I have a DaVinci schematic somewhere and I'm about to dig for it, but do any of you recognize these alterations as being stock?
