Keep it in the same case, it works very well. i have owned many of these. still have some parts. the fan is a two speed setup with a big fat resistor to slow it down, the solder cracks from vibration.

I just got a pm860 with a burnt board the mounts over the capacitors. would if be possible to get a picture of the board so I know the value of the burnt resistors? Thx in advance. Robert

I have a PM860 that I bought new about 20 years ago and has never had a problem of any kind, even though I have abused the snot out of it with experimental speakers like ribbons and ESLs. Great amps!
