Folks,
The right channel of my Sony Receiver (STR-DE875) has very low volume relative to the other channels. I have done some minimal troubleshooting and would like help on what to do next. The troubleshooting / repairs I have attempted are below ...
- I know Sony receivers of this vintage are plagued with cold solder joins so I pulled the circuit boards and reflowed several to no avail.
- I plugged in headphones and found the volume for the right channel was very low even through the headphones.
I suspect the problem lies somewhere with the components in this circuit on the main board.

More specifically I think it is either the power amp (UPC2581) or one of the large driver transistors (Q473 & Q474). That being said I am new to repairing receivers/amplifiers and would like some help. All help and feedback is welcomed.
Thanks!
