Sony CD-P x222ES and noisy disc tray

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, this is my first post.

I recently bought a second hand Sony CD-P X222ES and after cleaning and re-lubing the optical pick-up rails, it plays quite well. It still has one stupid problem: the disc tray makes a noise when it opens and closes. The noise is due to the back of the disc tray (red circle) hitting the metallic flange of the CD assembly (red arrow). The disc tray is supposed to pass above the flange, but the clearance is very minimal and due to weight of the disc tray itself, it is not perfectly flat and it sometime hits the flange.
Is that a known problem ? Is there an easy fix ?

thanks
