Our dogs had a shared bed in the kitchen. They were only ever fed if they were first on their bed and were called or, when we went up to their bed with a snack.

Infractions resulted in time-out on the bed.

Even so. One of the two couldn't be trusted in a room with food so we used to pretend to leave the room to catch her in the act, she got the message. Eventually.

I prefer the nuanced negotiation method of behavioural modification. So far I've been adjusted a lot.

One day this precious fur bent feline pushed an entire planter off the table just to examine the nature of the carnage in hitting the floor. It was just casually looking over the edge when I noticed it. I think this was just to alleviate the boredom of its day. Other days it used to rush over and watch the nature of a toilet flush (okay... a shared bonding experience) .

She took the cat to the vet today and told them the story, he knew what she meant.

So there's a chance that a database somewhere reads:

Preferred name: Dac
Full name: Digital to Analog Converter

I also managed to sneak a cool knife I found into the parts order...
